Temporary CCTV Cameras Deployed, Traffic Disruptions Anticipated Today During Demonstration

Victoria, BC –We will be deploying temporary cameras in support of our operations to ensure public safety during a planned demonstration today, Monday, August 9^th, 2021.

Additionally, traffic disruptions are anticipated in the downtown Victoria area near the Courthouse and the B.C. Legislature during the afternoon and evening that day.

As always, we are deploying these temporarily placed, monitored cameras in public spaces in accordance with B.C. and national privacy legislation. The cameras will be taken down a short time after the event. Temporary signs will also be posted to ensure that those in the area are aware.
