Victoria, BC – Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit are asking for witnesses and information after a stabbing in downtown Victoria early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Patrol officers responded to a report that a man was suffering from a stab wound in the area of Quadra Street and Pandora Avenue. Officers attended and located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of a stabbing. Officers provided emergency first aid on scene before BC Emergency Health Services attended and transported the victim to hospital where he remains. The man’s injuries are now considered non-life-threatening.

Officers continued their investigation and VicPD’s Forensic Identification Services unit deployed to the scene. Traffic was closed between the intersection of Quadra Street and Pandora Avenue, and the intersection of Quadra and Johnson streets, until approximately 6 a.m. this morning.

This file remains under investigation. Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crime Unit are seeking witnesses and information regarding this incident.
