Victoria, BC – Patrol officers are asking for your help to identify a woman involved in a suspicious incident in Victoria late this morning.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. this morning, Patrol officers were called to the area of Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue for a report of a suspicious incident involving a distressed woman in a van. Witnesses reported seeing a van driving erratically, westbound on Hillside Avenue, with a woman in the passenger seat screaming for help and attempting to exit the vehicle by opening the door while it was moving. The van continued westbound on Hillside Avenue and out of sight.

The woman involved in the incident is described as a 28 to 30-year-old Caucasian woman with an average build. She had a thin, oval-shaped face and bleached blonde shoulder-length hair. She wore a sweatshirt that was either light pink or white.

The van is described as a “newer” white utility van with blacked-out rear windows, and no side windows. The rear license plate on the van was described as having red lettering, and may be an Alberta license plate. The van did not have a front license plate. The van is described as being similar in appearance to a GMC Savana cargo van.

Witnesses described the driver of the van as a Caucasian man with dark hair.

This file remains under investigation. Officers are seeking to identify and locate the woman involved in this incident to check her wellbeing.
