Victoria, BC – VicPD officers are seeking a suspect and additional information after a woman randomly assaulted a man in downtown Victoria today.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19th, a man was walking northbound on Blanshard Street, across the crosswalk at Fort Street, when he was randomly approached by an unknown woman who kicked him to the ground. The victim was carrying hot tea at the time of the incident, and the kick forced the tea to spill on the man, causing significant burns. The victim attended hospital for non-life-threatening injuries related to the burns.

The suspect did not stop and left the scene. She is described as an adult Caucasian woman with a thin build. She wore a grey hooded sweater with the hood up, a green sweatshirt, green sweatpants, sneakers with a yellow marking, and a black backpack.
