Victoria, BC – VicPD officers are seeking your assistance after an attempted robbery in Victoria last week.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19th, a woman was walking in the 2000-block of Douglas Street when she was approached by an unknown man. The woman reported to police that the next thing she remembered was laying on the ground while the man attempted to steal the woman’s purse. The woman screamed and the suspect fled on foot, without the woman’s purse. The woman suffered non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The suspect in this incident remains outstanding. He is described as a 30 to 50-year-old Caucasian man standing approximately five feet, eight inches tall, with a very slim build. The suspect had dark brown and grey hair. He wore a dark green hooded sweater with the hood up and blue jeans.
