Victoria, BC – VicPD officers arrested one man and seized two replica firearms on Saturday after a report of a man shooting a pellet gun from an apartment building window.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28th, Patrol officers responded to the 900-block of Pandora Avenue for a report of a man shooting a pellet gun at passing vehicles from the window of a suite in a multi-unit residential building. Several officers attended and quickly located the suspect’s suite. The suspect surrendered to police without further incident. Upon further investigation, officers learned that the suspect did not strike a vehicle or person, and no one was injured during the incident.

Officers seized two replica firearms and ammunition from within the suspect’s suite. Photographs of the replica rifles are below.

The suspect was transported to cells at VicPD where he was later released with a court date and conditions. The suspect faces recommended charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
