Victoria, BC – VicPD investigators are asking for your help as we work to identify a suspect after a man was assaulted by being spat upon at a James Bay business.

Just after noon, on January 20th, 2022, officers were called for a report that an employee was working at a business in the 400-block of Simcoe Street when he was confronted by a man who was a customer there. Without warning, the man lowered his mask, spat on the employee and left.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 60 to 65-years-old, standing approximately five feet eight inches tall, with a medium build. The man has a grey beard and at the time of the incident wore black framed glasses, a grey hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black shoes. A photograph of the suspect is below.

Do you recognize this man? This incident has remained under investigation since it was reported, but investigators need your help to identify and locate the suspect.
