Victoria, BC – Officers are asking for your help as we work to locate high-risk missing woman Shirley Book. Shirley was the subject of a previous high-risk missing person alert early this morning. Following that alert and an extensive search by officers, Shirley was located by VicPD officers and safely reunited with her family. Despite their taking precautions to help ensure Shirley remained safe at home, her family has discovered her missing a second time.

Shirley is described as a 79 year-old Caucasian woman, standing five feet, four inches tall, with a medium build. Shirley has short grey hair and wears glasses. A recent photograph of Shirley is below.

Shirley suffers from a medical condition which can leave her confused and unaware of her location. She is also hard of hearing.

Shirley was last seen in the 1200-block of Johnson Street at approximately 11 a.m. today. Her family reported her missing to police at approximately 5 p.m. this afternoon, despite taking precautions to ensure that she remains safely at home. Her family are quite concerned for her well-being and officers are undertaking an extensive search to locate Shirley safely.
