Victoria, BC – Officers have arrested a man after an incident which was caught on video in which he pulled a knife and brandished it at a B.C. Transit operator on Thursday, September 15th.

VicPD released a Community Update which included two stills of the suspect yesterday. An officer recognized the suspect as someone that they had previously interacted with at a park in the 1400-block of Pandora Avenue. Officers attended the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, located and arrested the suspect.

Upon arresting the suspect and identifying him, officers learned that he was wanted on a bench warrant for a series of convictions in Ontario for offences including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, assault, break and enter, mischief and weapons possession.

He was transported to VicPD cells where he was held. Officers have requested an extension of his bench warrant to remand him to Ontario to address his charges there.
