Victoria, BC – Officers are looking to reunite a samurai sword with its rightful owner after it was found by 12-year-old in a bush in Esquimalt.

A concerned parent called the VicPD non-emergency line after her child came home carrying a samurai sword. The parent reported that their child was on the E&N trail on September 19th, when they discovered a samurai sword in the bushes near the intersection of Colville and Admirals roads. The large, black samurai sword was not in a sheath when the child located it.  An image of the sword is below.

Is this your samurai sword?

Officers are hoping to locate the rightful owner of the sword and learn how it came to be in the bushes near the trail.

If you recognize this samurai sword, please call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654, extension 1.
