Victoria, BC – Officers are asking for your help as we work to identify and locate a suspect in a theft and subsequent assault that occurred at a business in the 1900-block of Foul Bay Road last week.
Staff reported to officers that just before 5:30 p.m. on September 27th, 2022 a man entered the store in the 1900-block of Foul Bay Road, placed merchandise in his bag and then carried a second piece of merchandise up to the till area. The man then left the second piece of merchandise at the till and attempted to leave the building with the original merchandise in his bag. When a staff member moved to speak to him about the merchandise in his bag, the man suddenly assaulted the staff member and fled the store.

He has short brown hair, parted to one side, was clean shaven and wore rectangular frame eye glasses. At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and distinctive brown lace-up hiking boots. He was carrying a black messenger-style bag.
