Victoria, BC – Officers are working to identify and locate a suspect after a man threw coffee on a mother and her baby who was in a stroller this morning.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. this morning, a mother was walking with her baby in a stroller in the 900-block of Yates Street. When she approached a business there she was accosted by a man, who, without warning or provocation, threw coffee on her and her baby.

The man then yelled an obscenity at the mother about her child and left the area on foot. Thankfully, the coffee was not hot enough to cause physical injury.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his thirties, standing five feet, six inches tall, with a medium build. At the time of the attack he was wearing a black and grey jacket and baggy black pants. He was last seen walking near the intersection of Quadra and Yates streets.
