Victoria, BC – Officers, serving a special duty keeping the Remembrance Day ceremony at the B.C. Legislature safe and peaceful, arrested a man after he briefly interrupted the service.

Just after 11:00 a.m. this morning, a man briefly interrupted the service at the Remembrance Day ceremony. Two officers escorted the man out of the ceremonial area. He then began to fight with officers and was arrested.

He was transported to cells and faces recommended charges of assaulting a police officer and mischief.

This incident remains under investigation. Investigators are aware that the incident was captured on video. If you have video of the incident and have yet to speak with officers, please call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
