Victoria, BC – On December 20, 2022 VicPD Community Services Division members obtained judicial authorization to search a suite in a multi-unit residential temporary housing facility in the 800-block of Johnson Street. With the assistance of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT), officers entered the suite and located two firearms, two air soft pistols and over $50,000 in cash. Officers also located two kilograms of suspected drugs including methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. A man and a woman were arrested at the scene and were released pending further investigation. Investigators will be recommending charges related to firearms and drug trafficking against them both.
