Victoria, BC – Officers have arrested a man who has been the subject of numerous calls for service in a break and enter this morning in Vic West. 

Officers were called to the commercial offices of a residential development in the 0-block of Saghalie Road in Vic West at approximately 5:15 this morning after security called police to report a break and enter. 

Attending officers spotted the suspect when they first arrived, who then fled deeper into the building complex.  

Multiple Patrol officers and an officer with the Integrated Canine Service (ICS K9) attended and searched the building. As officers searched the building, the suspect allegedly set off the fire alarm, resulting in attendance by the Victoria Fire Department.  

Officers located the suspect and took him into custody. Several items believed to be stolen were located by officers during their search, which also revealed damage to doors and windows. 

The suspect, who is a relatively new arrival to Victoria, has had 44 police contacts and a dozen arrests so far this year. He faces outstanding charges for multiple break and enters, as well as car theft, uttering threats, indecent exposure, and sexual assault.  

The suspect was transported to VicPD cells where he was held for court.
