Victoria, BC- Officers are continuing their investigation into an early morning collision that caused significant damage.
Just before 1:30 a.m. this morning, VicPD received a call of a vehicle that had just crashed into a house in the 900-block of McCaskill Street. The damage was minor to the residence, but the collision caused significant damage to the yard of the property. The lone driver fled from the scene. Thankfully, nobody was injured inside the residence.
Multiple officers attended the area and the driver was located a short distance away where he was arrested. The man was subsequently transported to hospital.
The investigation is in the early stages, but it is believed that impairment was a contributing factor.
