Victoria, BC – VicPD Traffic officers are thanking the public and members of the media for their assistance in our efforts to locate a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle.
The cyclist has been in contact with investigators. Our investigation into this file remains ongoing.
Earlier this week we notified the public after a concerned citizen contacted VicPD after capturing a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle on a dashcam. The original release appear below.
Victoria, BC –VicPD Traffic officers are asking for a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle to come forward.
A concerned citizen contacted VicPD after capturing a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle on a dashcam. The timestamp on the video indicates it was recorded on June 26th, 2019 at 1:24 p.m. The collision occurred in the 1300-block of Blanshard Street.
VicPD Traffic officers have identified and spoken with the driver of the vehicle. They are hoping the cyclist will come forward both to ensure that the cyclist was not injured, and to gather more information on what occurred.
