You’re Invited | Help Chart The Future of Safe Neighbourhoods at our VicPD Block Watch & Watch Commander’s Open House

Victoria, BC – We’re inviting you to join us for a special evening focused on our VicPD Block Watch Program and our Watch Commander’s Open House on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

During the event we’ll present the results of our fall 2018, VicPD Block Watch survey. Over 300 participants provided feedback and insights into how, working together, we can make this excellent program even better. We have some exciting ideas that we are looking forward to sharing with you. Come meet the VicPD Block Watch team and help us chart the future of this cornerstone VicPD program.

Part of the evening will be hosted by the Patrol Watch Commander. The Watch Commander is the Staff Sergeant who oversees a Patrol Watch and is the person who is most immediately responsible for keeping  Victoria and Esquimalt safe. In this, our fourth Watch Commander’s Open House of the year, we’ll provide direct insight to members of our VicPD Block Watch community on how a Patrol watch works to keep you and your neighbourhood safe. You’ll also hear directly from the person responsible for leading a Patrol watch how you, as a member of our VicPD Block Watch community, can help us too.

You don’t have to be a VicPD Block Watch member to join us for this event. Everyone is welcome!

The evening will be hosted by VicPD Staff Sergeant Lance Philip and VicPD Community Programs Coordinator, Kimberly Kelley.

We’re asking that you RSVP so we can ensure appropriate seating and refreshments.

When: Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where: VicPD Headquarters – 850 Caledonia Avenue
