Victoria BC – This past weekend was a very busy weekend for police in Victoria and Esquimalt.
Numerous calls relating to fights, mischiefs, and house parties kept our officers very busy.
Of concern was the number of impaired drivers removed from our roads. In total, 16 drivers were located in Victoria and Esquimalt with all but two allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The penalties varied for all the drivers. This number is more than double that of last year. Officers are again asking for drivers to plan ahead and to not drive impaired either by drugs or alcohol
