Victoria, BC –Two men were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries last night after an altercation one of the two reported to have instigated in Centennial Square left them both with stab wounds. 

Officers were called to Centennial Square for a report of a stabbing with multiple victims. When officers arrived they located two victims with non-life-threatening stab wounds. Officers provided first aid to the victims until BC Emergency Health Services paramedics arrived, interviewed witnesses, one of the victims, and canvassed the scene for evidence.

One of the victims reported to officers that he had and the other victim, also a male, had instigated a confrontation with a third man who was occupying a stall in the Centennial Square washroom. According to his report, the two victims had kicked in the door of the stall while it was occupied by the third male, entered into a physical altercation with the male in the stall, and upon exiting the bathroom discovered their wounds. The third male then fled the scene. The second victim has not yet spoken to officers.

Investigators would like to speak with the third male involved in the incident as well as anyone who has not yet spoken with officers.
