Victoria, BC – VicPD officers and staff are joining with thousands of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and woman across Canada in support of the Moose Hide Campaign. As a show of support, many VicPD officers are now displaying the square moose hide patch on their uniforms.

VicPD officers and staff at all levels are displaying the moose hide patch

The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children. Wearing this moose hide signifies VicPD officers’ continued commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in our lives and our community and to work together to end violence against women and children.

VicPD officers and staff will be participating in the February 15th meeting and fast in support of the Moose Hide Campaign and the ongoing efforts to give men the tools needed to work together to end violence.
