Temporary Cameras to be Deployed on on New Year’s Eve

VicPD will be deploying temporary cameras on New Year’s Eve in specific downtown Victoria locations to support our operations to ensure public safety during this family-friendly event.

The cameras will only be in operation during the expected time periods where there is a likelihood there will be large crowds. The cameras will be used for both the safety of the public and the safety of our officers.  The cameras will be in operation from 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until 1 a.m. on January 1st.
