File: 14-31907Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2014Listen: Arrest Made in Assault on Spanish TouristVictoria BC: Last night VicPD officers arrested the man believed to be responsible for the unprovoked attack on a Spanish tourist that occurred late yesterday afternoon. Officers were on patrol in the 500-block of Ellice Street and noticed the suspect, who was wearing the same clothing and distinctive shoes as the time of attack. The suspect also had injuries to his hand consistent with a fight. The 21-year-old Victoria man was arrested and brought back to VicPD headquarters where he is being held for court today. Officers are recommending one count of assault causing bodily harm.
