Victoria, BC – Our front counter services are re-opening at our Victoria 850 Caledonia Avenue and Esquimalt 500 Park Place buildings on Monday, July 6th. Services will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 850 Caledonia Avenue, and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 500 Park Place in Esquimalt. While we are re-opening many of our services, we’ll be doing so with COVID-19 precautions and service changes in place.

Appointments will be required for some services and the lobby areas will be accommodating fewer people at a time in order to maintain safe physical distancing. Many services are now available online and don’t require in-person attendance. In-person service appointments can also be booked online.

Procedures for those attending the lobby areas

As is common with many locations across Victoria and Esquimalt, we ask everyone who is attending our lobby areas to self-evaluate for COVID-19 symptoms. The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other respiratory illnesses including the flu and common cold.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Cough or worsening of chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Muscle aches

Do not attend our lobby areas if you have any of these symptoms.

Our lobby area has been reconfigured to support safe physical distancing. We have installed placeholders on the floor to allow for 2-metre separation. We will not be supplying masks, but you are welcome to bring your own. Hand sanitizer will be available. Physical barriers have been installed at service windows for additional protection.

Appointments are required for civil fingerprint services and to pick up property. While not required for other services, appointments greatly enhance everyone’s health and safety. If you wish to make an appointment please call 250-995-7654 and select option #8, during the business hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For those with an appointment or for all other services we will be happy to serve you in our lobby areas.  If you choose to wait outside the lobby until your appointment time, a staff member will come to collect you.

Officers and staff thank you for your patience while we continue to work to improve our services during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
